Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia seeks applications for an Enterprise Data Administrator.
About the Role
The Enterprise Data Administrator reports to the Chief Information Officer and works with the other members of the Administrative Computing team to administer and support the university’s ERP system (Ellucian Banner) and its integrations with third-party applications (file-based, API, and web services), particularly operational reporting tools.
This position consults, trains, and supports various campus constituent groups to ensure these applications are used effectively and securely.
Additionally, this role monitors the Banner Support Line (Help Desk) and directly supports Banner users in various functional areas such as the Business Office, Financial Aid, Institutional Advancement, Registrar’s Office, etc.
Specific duties include the following:
Support enterprise data applications, enterprise records and reporting, and related third-party integrations as part of the Administrative Computing team.
Collaborate with the Administrative Computing team to support and maintain elements of the enterprise reporting infrastructure (e.
g.
, institutional data marts, web servers, application servers, etc.
).
Create training materials and support documentation for the university’s enterprise data applications.
Monitor the Banner Help Desk and provide technical assistance by responding to end-users’ inquiries about errors, problems, and service requests.
Position Qualifications
Successful applicants must have the following qualifications and experience:
Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, time management, multitasking, detail, and accuracy skills.
Abilities to work in a fast-paced environment independently and as a part of a team.
Abilities to prioritize multiple responsibilities, adjust to change, and manage confidential and sensitive information.
Deep understanding of and commitment to working in and fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment.
Ability and willingness to occasionally work outside normal work hours for emergency support and critical or time-sensitive projects.
Preferred candidates will have the following:
College degree
Experience with Ellucian Banner or other higher education ERP systems.
Familiarity with SQL.
Experience working in higher education.
