Provides full supervision of the Student Employment Program and also provides administrative support for all Human Resources functions; point of contact for the HR front office.
Will serve as backup for all positions within the HR Department.
*Essential Functions:*
* Will be responsible for the Student Employment Program and the processes involved with this program.
Will work closely with departments involved with this program, such as Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Career Services, and any other departments that may be involved.
Will work closely with Career Services in the use of the student job application portal, Handshake.
* Handles all data entry for student worker payroll.
* Serves as Student Employee Supervisor to oversee student workers and train them to be first point of contact with most applicants, staff, faculty, students and guests with general HR business.
Assists with training student employees to handle phone calls, answering questions, receiving applications, and sending communications as needed.
* Responds to outside requests for employment verification and reference checks for faculty, staff and students
* May assist with posting open positions on website and with appropriate vendors
* Will assist with data entry/support/backup as needed for all team positions
* May assist HR Team with new hire orientation and onboarding
* Tracks purchase orders for the department; orders HR/SE supplies; processes invoices for approval
* Sends electronic survey links as needed for current and exiting employees (exit, engagement and other surveys)
* Plans and executes special events such as Employee/Student Employee Recognition Events, etc.
* Oversees Wellness Program and puts forth programming ideas for budget approval.
* Assists with data entry for regular employee.
* Responsible for document preparation, electronic and paper filing, faxing, copying, and other administrative support duties; assists with mailings
* Scans documents to records management (electronic); assists with departmental record retention requirements
* Works with HR Team to improve departmental efficiency through technology.
* Assist with Title IX investigations.
* Special projects and other duties as assigned by the HR Team.
*Minimum Qualifications:*
* BA or BS in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality
* Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Google
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Good organizational skills including paper and computerized records management.
* Ability to work well with students, faculty, and staff.
* Adaptability; ability to work in fast-paced environment
* Ability to be a team player
