Responsible for performing application system analysis and design for the RCM business unit to include requirements, specifications, configuration, documentation, testing, and implementation of system.
Will also be involved in providing application support, troubleshooting, training and reporting activities.
Serves as technical liason between RCM, TSG groups, clients and vendors.
Consultant to RCM leadership and teams.
Will be required to make timely, effective decisions using independent judgement and discretion within the appropriate guidelines defined by leadership.
Conducts analysis of advanced application design including but not limited to planning implementations and maximizing application benefits.
Develops and maintains a comprehensive working knowledge of assigned applications and related development and maintenance tools.
Acquires functional working knowledge of specialty area, demonstrated by an understanding and use of the principals, theories, and practices pertinent to the work specialty.
Defines system requirements through a working knowledge of client business needs and application functionality.
Plans and conducts quality assurance testing and analysis to identify procedural problems and/or software deficiencies and proposes recommendations for improvement.
Identifies perceived risks and suggests potential resolutions for mitigating risks.
Develops and maintains computer application files, documentation and cross-training material as needed.
Coordinates and conducts user training sessions and is responsible for developing and maintaing content for such progams.
Recommendation for effective troubleshooting and logical analysis to identify and resolve technology issues.
Resolves issues of moderate complexity with minimal supervision, or of advanced/major complexity with increased supervision.
Identifies and documents issues using appropriate process.
Seeks assistance for resolution of more complex issues as necessary.
Works closely with both internal and external clients to build and maintain effective working relationships.
Serves as a member of multiple project teams.
May serve in a lead role on moderately-complex project or sub-project under the direction of more senior level staff.
Designs and develops proposed business unit processes and advises clients on workflow changes that may maximize system benefits.
Demonstrates competence to interpret and communicate information, ideas, and instructions.
Participates in on-call rotation for assigned applications.
Resolves issues of moderate complexity without intervention of more senior staff.
Demonstrates accountability for self-development by providing input into personal annual skills assesement and development plan.
Identifies resources requiring procurement and follows appropriate processes for aquisition.
Prepares status reports and other documentation requested by management in a timely manner.
Adheres to the application change management process to include timely reporting of all pertinent change information, effective discussion of the changes, intenal and external communications, contigency planning, support of the change event and post-change reporting, as appropriate.
Provides leadership to Ops I and assists in their education and development.
What We Require: Education: B.
S.
in computer, healthcare or business related field required.
Experience: 5-7 years of related experience is required.
Intermediate knowledge of office automation software (word processing, spreadsheets, email and presentation software) required.
Healthcare billing/financial services or information services experience with working knowledge of current insurance billing procedures, ICD-10, HCPCS, and CPT coding desired.
Extension software.
Project Management experience a must.
Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Epic Proficiency upon acceptance of position or to be completed within 6 months of accepting position.
CPC desired but not required Other Minimum Qualifications: Must be a self-initiated team player with strong organizational and analytical skills.
Must be able to work both independently and in a team setting.
Must be capable of prioritizing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
Effective oral and written communication, presentation and problem solving skills required.
Will require on-call coverage.
Primary business hours Monday-Friday with possible weekend, holiday and on call coverage as needed.
Occasional overnight travel required.
