Job Description AECOM is seeking an Architectural Designer to be based in Roanoke, VA .
_This position is expected to begin as soon as possible.
_ The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited: + Performing basic architectural/engineering calculations.
+ Preparing specifications, reports and related data tables.
+ Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups.
+ Preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required.
+ Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, may perform technical assignments of moderate complexity within approved schedules and budgets.
+ May coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project.
+ May assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel.
Qualifications Minimum Requirements: + Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or in another related field + 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications: + Enrolled in NCARB Architectural Experience program (AXP), formerly Intern Development Program (IDP) and actively seeking state Architecture Registration.
+ Certification as a LEED Accredited Professional by the USGBC.
+ Diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices.
+ Ability to clearly communicate with clients and peers.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills + Strong technical skills related to visualization, planning, and architectural design.
+ Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as be able to work closely with and collaborate with multidiscipline design team.
+ Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite Additional Information + Relocation assistance is available for this position.
+ Sponsorship is available for this position.
+ Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation (Virginia locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
The salary range for this position is $48,915.
