gov Recruitment Type: General Public - G Job Duties The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality's, Blue Ridge Regional Office is seeking a qualified candidate to work on varied, complex sites independently.
Position will manage the remediation of petroleum contaminated sites through technical and administrative oversight to ensure that the sites are remediated to appropriate risk-based levels.
Work with responsible parties to resolve issues efficiently, openly, fairly, and consistently.
Minimum Qualifications Experience concerning project management.
Knowledge of federal/state/local laws and regulation governing petroleum releases.
Knowledge of Soil, vapor, and ground water pollution assessment.
Knowledge of Soil, vapor, and ground water remediation.
Knowledge of Ground water computer modeling.
Knowledge of Hydrogeology, geology, chemistry, environmental science, and engineering.
Oral and written communications.
PC database operations.
Additional Considerations A combination of training and/or course work in geology, environmental engineering, or related sciences and/or equivalent work experience.
Must complete (bi-annually) VA State and Local Conflict of Interest Act training.
