Come join our team at Botetourt Veterinary Hospital! We are currently looking for a part-time kennel assistant.
We are searching for a person that is willing to work part- time, including weekends and holidays.
This position is perfect for someone that wants a few hours in the afternoon (2-6pm) and weekends.

This position is a good place to start your veterinary career and learn more about husbandry of animals.
There is always room to move up in this position.
We require reliable transportation, and the ability to commute during inclement weather and the ability to lift 35lbs.
Most of all important you must love animals.
The kennel assistants pays close attention to the pets general health signs, such as signs of stress and changes in eating or elimination habits and promptly notifying their manager when a pet needs medical attention.
The kennel assistant must pay attention to details , understand, and follow proper feeding and sanitation procedures.
The duties required of our kennel assistants are: walking dogs on a leash, feeding dogs & cats, doing baths, preparing and releasing pets from boarding, cleaning the kennels, cleaning within the hospital including but not limited to cleaning cages, dishes, floors, restrooms and doing laundry, restraint of animals when needed and assisting the veterinary assistants & doctors when needed.
The hospital is staffed from 7:00am-6:00pm Monday - Friday and Saturdays from 7:00am - 1:00pm.
We have boarding discharge times on Saturday & Sunday evenings.

Pay: From $12.
00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 26 per week
