The Electrical Designer provides the highest quality electrical design of control systems on the Maag family of equipment.
Working independently but supported by sales and sales engineering, the incumbent is the electrical design representative for the customer’s controls equipment.
*Position description – Tasks, responsibilities, competencies* · Retrieve and review all customer specification documents, vendor quotes, drawings and diagrams for creating electrical designs for customer.
· Revise drawings and designs based on change orders and customer requests.
· Perform calculations in preparation for designing products.
· Confer with engineers and design staff to interpret design concepts.
· Review all applicable documentation and company procedural manuals to determine critical attributes of design.
· They must be able to adhere to contractual specifications (including hazardous locations) by following local regulations.
Additionally, they meet deadlines and use their superior communication skills to present their progress to superiors in their department.
The incumbent considers all interests of quality, accident prevention and occupational safety as well as environmental safety in a preventive manner within his scope of responsibility and supports the avoidance of damages to people, facilities, assets, material and environment actively.
The incumbent is obliged to perform tasks requested by management that relate to his position scope or arise from company needs.

*Work Environment* · Generally, electrical designers work in a plant setting.
One of their main tools include a computer with proprietary software to create, and modify their design plans.
While performing the duties of this job in a plant setting, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration, hot equipment, hot and cold weather conditions.
The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud and PPE may be required.
