* Our delivery drivers will be operating either sprinter vans, cargo vans, or box trucks in the Lynchburg and surrounding areas.
You will be operating out of the *FedEx terminal at 1935 Blue Hills Drive NE, Roanoke, VA*.
We are looking for *motivated* and *dependable *individuals to work as part of a team! *DUTIES OF DELIVERY DRIVER:* * Arrive at Roanoke FedEx terminal to pick up vehicle and packages by 7:30am * Deliver and pick up all packages daily w/in the prescribed time windows.
* Conduct Pre/Post trip van inspections daily.
* Operate delivery vans safely, securely, and competently.
* Learn the route(s) and the customer needs to be serviced by our company.
* Handle and maneuver packages of varying sizes and weight w/o damage to the package or injury to oneself or others.
* Effectively use GPS to arrive at your destinations accurately * Scanning and logging packages *DELIVERY DRIVER REQUIREMENTS:* * Drivers must be 21 years of age or older * Drivers must have a valid driver’s license and clean Motor Vehicle Report * Drivers must be willing to submit to a background check * Drivers must be able to physically manage packages up to 100 lbs * Drivers must be able to work in all weather conditions * Drivers must be able to pass a drug test and DOT physical exam (PAID BY EMPLOYER) * Drivers must be able to make 70-150 stops per day * Amazon Experience Qualifies as Driving Experience * Additional experience as a box truck driver, delivery driver, warehouse driver, or non-CDL truck driver will also be considered.
