FedEx Ground Contractor is looking to hire additional help to deliver small packages to residents in their *own vehicle *in Salem, VA and the surrounding areas.
Drivers will be paid a per hour rate.
*COMPENSATION / BENEFITS*
* WEEKENDS are a MUST
* PAY- $18/hour PLUS $40/day car allowance
* PAID TRAINING
*Coverage areas New Castle, Warm Springs, Hot Springs, Catawba, Buchanan, Covington, Clifton Forge, Eagle Rock, Williamsville, Burnsville, Mustoe, Paint Bank, and Bacova - This is set by the managers, drivers do NOT choose their route area.
*
Approved vehicles include sedans, station wagons, SUVs, minivans and pick-up trucks (with a covered and secure bed) that are no older than 15 years and have no significant cosmetic damage.
*You must be 21 years of age.
Also, you must show proof of insurance and vehicle registration.

*Key qualifications:*
* All applicants must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a background check.
* Drivers must have no more than 2 citations or traffic violations on their motor vehicle record in the past 3 years.
* No commercial driving experience is required.
* Reliability, strong work ethic, results driven, commitment to excellence, problem solving, time management skills, patience, customer focus.
*Required Technical Skills*
* Use a smartphone with GPS
* Use a scanner, provided by the contractor to log deliveries.
