is hiring an Associate General Counsel.
The Associate General Counsel is responsible for supporting a rapidly growing business by partnering with and advising business teams on a variety of commercial contracts and legal issues.
The individual in this role creatively solves problems while applying sound business and legal judgment to a wide variety of commercial contracts and relationships.
Seeking candidates with a Juris Doctorate degree from a top-ranked accredited law school.
Minimum of five years of law firm or a combination of law firm and in-house hands-on experience drafting and negotiating contracts.
Experience effectively handling a high volume of contracts.
Licensed to practice law in Virginia or eligible to be admitted under a Virginia Corporate Counsel Certificate.
Requirements for the Associate General Counsel position include:
Excellent knowledge of commercial contracts and the ability to creatively solve problems while applying sound business and legal judgment to a wide variety of commercial contracts and relationships.
Must be able to analyze complex data and identify potential risks.
Strong problem-solving skills to address complex contracts and vendor agreements.
Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interact with legal and non-legal team members.
Strong legal research and analytical skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Aptitude to quickly learn and develop new skills.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Independent and innovative thinker with excellent analytical and reasoning skills and judgment.
Must be able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
