Senior Director of Human Resources On-site in Roanoke VA JOB SUMMARY: As a member of the Senior Management Team, the Senior Director of Human Resources creates and oversees the execution of a vision for HR that ensures that the company and its affiliated centers are best positioned to achieve business objectives, retain, and recruit quality employees, meet legal requirements related to HR and create a culture that promotes employee and patient satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Collaborate with the senior management team to set the human capital agenda for the company, including planning, development, and implementation of goals and strategies that support the company's business objectives.
Stay abreast of changing needs and recommend new initiatives to ensure the company is progressive and an employer of choice.
Manages the Director, of Employee Engagement and Training to ensure the company is proactively managing all facets of the employee experience, including, but not limited to engagement, satisfaction, retention, recruitment, onboarding, and training.
Leverage HRIS and other system data to drive decisions and recommendations.
Recommends new policies and procedures to continually improve the level of service provided to the centers, and to team members.
Serve as a strategic people partner to the senior management team on policies, employee relations issues, investigations, and successful outcomes.
Assists in the investigation of team member complaints/concerns.
Provide policy interpretation to the senior management team and ensure consistent implementation and application.
Oversee the management of the recruiting and hiring process to maximize effectiveness and ensure adequate staffing.
Serve as the total rewards administrator.
Maintains knowledge of economic conditions, labor market, and other factors to ensure the company's total compensation and benefit plans and practices are fair, competitive, and compliant.
This includes, but may not be limited to: Overseeing the benefits program, seeking out and recommending innovative offerings that meet the needs, while providing high-quality cost-effective benefits to the workforce.
Ensuring organization and plan compliance with the applicable provisions of COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA.
Overseeing the annual enrollment process with vendors and the center HR team.
Ensure Center HRMs are educated and equipped to successfully communicate benefits during annual enrollment, ongoing benefits enrollment, and qualifying events.
Serving as the compensation administrator.
Using market data analysis and by tracking new and creative compensation trends, ensures the company's total compensation is fair and competitive Continuously evaluate the company's total compensation package, applying common compensation principles for all pay types.
Ensuring all plans comply with applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations.
In collaboration with Finance and Operations, analyze and evaluate jobs, budgets, wage scales, merit increases, and other compensation and benefits to meet business needs.
Serve as an employment law expert, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, including required reporting.
This may include, but is not limited to: Department of Labor laws (FLSA classification, application of Wage and Hour laws, etc.
) Equal Employment Opportunity OSHA Licensing and Accreditation: Serves as the compliance administrator related to human resources standards for licensing and accreditation requirements.
Completes records, reporting, and other documentation required by federal, state, and provider rules, regulations, and policies.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, Finance, or related field.
Five (5) years of Senior Human Resources management experience Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) – ADP Preferred Thorough knowledge of COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA requirements.
Knowledge of wage and hour laws including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, GINA, Section 125 Cafeteria plan regulations, and EEOC regulations, and general HR principles Ability to analyze and effectively communicate technical information.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
CCP and CEBS Certifications, strongly preferred.
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR preferred.
