Certified Medication Aide

Responsibilities: - Administer medications to patients according to prescribed dosages and schedules - Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects from medications - Document medication administration and patient response in electronic medical records systems such as Cerner or Epic - Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure accurate and timely medication administration - Assist with other clinical tasks as needed, such as phlebotomy or specimen collection Requirements: - Previous experience working in an acute care setting or medical office preferred - Certification as a Medication Aide required - Knowledge of medication administration procedures and best practices - Familiarity with electronic medical records systems such as Cerner or Epic - Ability to work with patients with special needs and provide compassionate care - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication administration Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
