Job Description
WVTF’s Traffic Coordinator will manage the radio station underwriting sales workflow and production processes.
The right candidate must be trusted to keep things moving under pressure and on tight deadlines.
Traffic Coordinator roles demand organization, attention to detail, adaptability, and sometimes a diplomatic touch.
Among the expectations for this position are (but are not limited to): Overseeing the underwriting announcement scheduling and inputting all the appropriate information into the Wide Orbit system; Assisting with the production of daily station logs for each station; Entering insertion orders and airing instructions; Coordinating with the production department to ensure announcements are ready to air; Work closely with station programmers to ensure hourly clocks are accurate and up to date on the program logs.
This Position reports to the Director of Content and Distribution and assists the entire Corporate Support (underwriting) department in the preparation of all our stations’ daily on-air logs, along with the scheduling of program and promotions inventory.
Required Qualifications
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and exhibit self-motivation
• Ability to handle pressure, multitask, daily deadlines
• Possesses meticulous attention to detail
• Demonstrated organizational and communications skills
• Problem-solving ability and skills in prioritizing including follow-up
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and other office software and tracking systems.
• Prior experience in a professional office environment.
• Ability to interact with clients, co-workers, and management in a professional manner.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional media office/support experience.
• Knowledge of broadcast traffic software - comfort and proficiency with a variety of tools, such as Wide Orbit, Content Depot, audio editing software, Nielsen Audio, and other data-related software and programs.
