JOB SUMMARY:
The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for managing the entire store operation including staffing, development of personnel and ability to exceed customer expectations daily.
This position requires someone who can drive store sales and build a quality experience for our customers.
Assists customers, selling, supplying information, maintains records and reports.
This position reports to the Store Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assist customers, setting the example for all employees.
Provide solutions to customer issues, develop, and maintain positive customer relationships.
Hold employees accountable for meeting established guidelines, customer service expectations and company policies.
Manage associate performance, including training, appraisals, promotion recommendations and discipline.
Supervise overall operation and employees.
Manage inventory, control shrink while meeting sales goals
Handling customer complaints, and providing prompt solutions.
Understand basic computer program and learn internal systems.
Keep sales area stocked with merchandise including pricing, dating, and displaying.
Responsible for appearance and cleanliness of the sales area.
Responsible for appearance and cleanliness of the location.
Check incoming merchandise against invoices or orders to spot shortages, damages, backorders and advise store or department managers.
Attend store meetings, training sessions, and read trade magazines and manufacturers
literature to gain new product knowledge.
Assist in the coordination of deliveries.
Ability to lift to 50lbs, also requires climbing, stooping, and bending frequently.
Perform other duties as assigned.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Must have at least two years of sales/management experience.
Excellent communication, organizational and follow-up skills.
Proven ability to interact well with others and offer great customer service.
