Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a seasonal Event Coordinator to join our team at Peaks of Otter Lodge in Bedford, Virginia.
In this role, you will partner with clients, guests, and our food and beverage teams to create and execute events for our guests at Peaks of Otter Lodge You will also work closely with the Human Resources team at Peaks of Otter Lodge to ensure associates participate in the necessary training and development that helps them to be successful in their roles.

Responsibilities
Assist food and beverage associates with catering for events and ensure the highest quality of product and service is provided.
Coordinate with operations managers to organize the banquet, kitchen, and service associates for each event.
Prepare order forms, invoices, contracts, and other necessary documents for each event.
Process client deposits and assist them with reserving bedrooms at the property.
Participate in implementing orientation and training programs for associates at the property.
Maintain all training records, including orientation schedules and attendance sheets.
Submit reports on training activities to property managers.
Evaluate trainees, on the job, to ensure the training was successful; recommend additional training sessions if required.
All other duties assigned.
Qualifications
Ability to work event hours including some holidays, weekends, and evenings.
Between 1 to 3 years’ experience in hospitality, sales or related field preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products including Word and Excel.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong attention to detail.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel.
Ability to lift, balance, and move up to 35 lbs.
