We are currently seeking an accountable, proactive, and hardworking individual to perform repair work on a wide variety of equipment ranging from complete machine overhauls to minor repairs such as fixing leaks, changing fluids and filters as well as having proven welding experience in structural steel welding.
You will be responsible for following several standards and must be willing and capable of welding, editing, and performing all duties related to working in a steel fabrication environment.

*Duties and responsibilities*
· Uses manuals, repair manuals, parts manuals, parts diagrams to troubleshoot construction and forestry equipment.
· Uses lift trucks, overhead cranes and other aides to lift or move parts into position to be repaired.
· Line up specific metal components using calipers, rulers, and clamp pieces
· Secure parts and assemblies according to specifications using various tools
· Welding of components and assemblies using electric or arc welding equipment
· Remove rough spots from work pieces using portable grinder, hand files or scrapers
· Heat, form and dress metal parts using handheld tools and oxy fuel torch’s
· Develops templates and other work aids to hold and align parts/assemblies
· Work collaboratively alongside others
· Accurately read and use a tape measure to help produce small steel parts required per drawing specification using various powered tools/machines
· Maintain a clean and safe work area
Requirements:
· Must own tools
· High School Graduate or GED
· Education from a recognized welding institute (preferred, not required)
· CWB certified if MIG or flux core welding procedures
· Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of reading and interpreting welding symbols
· Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask/prioritize work
· Valid Driver’s License
· Analyzing blueprints/designs with ability to understand them is a must
*Work Experience:*
Requires at least 1 year of direct experience with working knowledge of heavy equipment and must be proficient in at least one mechanical system (i.
e.
hydraulics, transmission, engine, electrical, welding, machine work).
*Physical:*
Must be able to daily and repeatedly stoop, kneel, bend and climb besides, onto, underneath various equipment to perform troubleshooting and repairs.
Must be able to effectively perform repairs, research technical manuals, and develop written repair work order reports.
Must be able to routinely and physically lift/ position various parts to perform repairs/service and manually handle parts up to 120 pounds, as well as use mechanical hoists for heavier parts.
*Other:*
Must be able to effectively write repair activities on customer work orders.
Must have cognitive reasoning and problem-solving skills to apply knowledge, written information, and verbal instructions in repairing/servicing unusual and/or unknown technical equipment operational problems.
