As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Foreman to join our team and lead our production facility to the next level.
We are seeking qualified candidates in the Roanoke, VA area who can reliably commute! Position Overview: As the Shop Foreman at Pavement Stencil, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing our production operations.
You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the manufacturing facility, producing high-quality stencils, maintaining shop cleanliness and organization, managing inventory, and providing strong leadership for the production team.
Key Responsibilities: Production Management: Coordinate and oversee daily production activities to meet production targets and deadlines.
Ensure the quality and precision of stencils through regular quality checks and inspections.
Collaborate with the production team to optimize processes and improve productivity.
Safety and Compliance: Uphold and enforce safety standards and procedures to create a safe working environment for all employees.
Conduct regular safety meetings and training to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized shop floor to ensure safety and enhance efficiency.
Implement and enforce 5S principles (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to sustain cleanliness and organization.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished products.
Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure the availability of necessary materials to meet production schedules.
Implement inventory control measures to reduce waste and optimize inventory turnover.
Leadership and Team Management: Lead and motivate the production team to achieve operational excellence by fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Train, mentor, and provide guidance to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Quality Control & Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure the production of high-quality stencils.
Conduct regular inspections and quality checks.
Address any issues related to product quality.
Machine Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of machines to minimize downtime.
Schedule regular equipment inspections and preventive maintenance.
Coordinate with maintenance staff to address machine issues promptly.
Qualifications: Proven experience as a Shop Foreman or similar leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of production processes, safety procedures, and inventory management.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
Knowledge of stencil manufacturing processes is preferred.
Pay Range: $45,000 - $57,000 annually, based on relevant experience.
