Punch Press Operator: Position Overview
* Operate press machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation.
* Inspecting parts for conformance to specifications, visually or using gauges or templates, and may adjust machine to correct errors
* Follow established production/process specifications or instructions.
* Change dies and material coils as necessary.
* Perform manual packaging operations to fill, mark, label, band, tie pack, and/or wrap containers with products and materials.
* Tally, weigh, stack, and arrange products and packed containers.
Preferred Skills / Experience:
* Operator should have experience in tasks related to the set-up, maintenance and operation of the press.
* Knowledge of blanking die layouts and clearances
* Ability to compute numbers, widths, and angles of die components using micrometers, scales, and gauges
* Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
* Ability to communicate with supervisors and / or peers both in both written and verbal formats.
* Most be able to stand and / or sit for long periods of time.
* Knowledge of geometric tolerancing.
* Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Successful applicants will be required to pass a background check and drug screening.
