*Position Overview: * We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented cement *Control Room Operator* to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cement manufacturing processes and a deep understanding of control room operations.
As a Cement Control Room Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe production of cement products and report to the Production Supervisor.
*Key Responsibilities: * * Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Report any safety hazards or incidents immediately.
Promote a “Safety First” mentality.
Provide feedback on process and safety improvements.
* Monitors all plant process systems and related auxiliary equipment from a central location ensuring the safety of all employees and integrity of the company assets.
* Optimize equipment utilization in cooperation with the operations, maintenance, electrical and quality departments.
* Operate and adjust various equipment and machinery to maintain optimal production parameters.
* Operate process, operation and personal computers and software including Microsoft Office Products, ECS, PXP, Pavilion, Malvern & VIM.
* Maintain knowledge of capacity and production rates of all major pieces of equipment.
* Maintain logbook including equipment downtime and reasons, quality information and issues within control system.
* Adhere to documented Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Environmental requirements.
* Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
* Record and maintain accurate production data and reports.
* Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Adhere to product quality standards and environmental compliance.
* Collaboration with Process Engineers and Supervisors to correct safety, environmental, quality and production issues as needed.
* Other duties as assigned when not required in Control Room.
*Qualifications: * * High school diploma or equivalent (relevant certifications or education in cement technology is a plus).
* 2 years’ experience in cement manufacturing or Proven experience as a Cement Control Room Operator or similar role in the cement industry.
* Strong knowledge of cement manufacturing processes and equipment.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
* Must be able to work shift work, callouts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime as needed.
* Familiar with personal computers and control software.
* Strong communicator both oral and written.
* Basic understanding of Chemistry a plus.
* Must be capable of seeing a full range of color.
* Travel as required to complete external training.
