Requirements:
RESPONSABILITIES:
The Engineering Technician’s primary reasonability is to provide general engineering support to the production line as required.
This support may include, but is not limited to, the following:
Resolve manufacturing issues, communicate issues to the appropriate engineer(s), and follow-up on solutions
Act as the “first line of defense” in troubleshooting PTS issues
Assist engineers in overseeing parts and process deviations
Serve as the engineering point of contact when the primary engineer is absent
Additionally, the Engineering Technician is also responsible to…
Create and update work instructions and other documentation
Assist engineers with data collection
Assist engineers with researching and purchasing improved tooling and other solutions
Assist with conducting time studies and performing load balancing
Train employees on work instruction updates, process changes, tooling updates, etc.
Suggest improvements for safety, quality, and efficiency
Participate in kaizen events
REQUIRED SKILL AND ABILITIES:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate’s Degree in Engineering or similar technical degree preferred but not required
At least 1 year of professional experience in a production environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to draw conclusions from a variety of data sources.
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks according to business objectives and the ability to pursue several objectives simultaneously.
High attention to detail
Good communication skills and good, positive attitude
Ability to collaborate and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
Computer proficiency
Strong customer service skills (customer-focused and people-focused)
Ability to follow detailed directions
Willingness to work overtime as required
