Core Duties* of a DRYWALL TECHNICIAN at Fleetwood Homes:
Fill cracks, holes, or joints with caulk, putty, plaster using caulking guns or putty knives and smoothing any surfaces using sandpaper, scrapers, brushes, steel wool, or sanding machines in preparation for painting.
Properly mix drywall mud and neatly apply mixture using mud pans/knives and boxes.
Use sanding blocks and power sanders to finish drywall to a smooth surface.
Read prints and production cards to apply paint using brushes and/or rollers.
Comfortable working on scaffolding or ladders, as well as stilts.
Cover surfaces with dropcloths or masking tape to protect surfaces during painting, and complete proper cleanup after the completion of work.
Inspect work and apply skim coat to cover imperfections, when required.
Experience a plus, but willingness to learn a trade skill is equally valued.

Working conditions:
Continuous exposure to heat, cold, noise, and working outdoors.
Must wear protective equipment while at the location
Physical requirements:
Requires extensive walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling and climbing
Heavy Work-Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds or force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
