Candidates should possess at least one of the following:
Four (4) year State Approved apprenticeship.
Associate of Applied Science degree in electricity, electronics, instrumentation or equivalent upon review.
Equivalent military training and experience.
Duties include but are not limited to the installation, maintenance, and the ability to troubleshoot the following systems:
Three (3) phase power distribution (480vac, 2.
3kv, 4.
1kv, 6.
6kv 13.
8kv), transformers, breakers, protective relays, terminations & splices.
AC/DC Motors and AC/DC Drive Systems.
AC/DC Motor Control, starters, contactors, breakers & overloads.
Discrete and analog control devices (limit, pressure, proximity, encoders, etc).
PLC’s, HMI’s and dedicated safety control systems.
Fiber Optic systems.
Hydraulics
UPS Systems and DC Station Power.
Pollution abatement equipment.
Successful candidates should
Have a strong focus on safety.
Have three years of Heavy Industry E&I experience at the journeyman level.
Ability to lift up to 50 lb, navigate stairs, climb ladders, walk, stand, bend and kneel throughout the entire shift.
Capable of working rotating shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required around heat, noise, confined spaces, heights, inside/outside, etc.
Have good decision making and troubleshooting abilities, good communication and computer skills are desired.
Be highly motivated, conscientious, and a good team player with a positive attitude.
