Responsibilities MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Participates in the development of creative design solutions to mechanical and technical problems in consultation with engineers Serves in a technical liaison/support role between production and engineering teams Thoroughly investigates basic production challenges then methodically determines and communicates appropriate resolutions Audits customer build packages for accuracy and completeness Creates and updates basic and routine CAD models/drawings; performs part setup and maintenance in Product Lifecycle Management system (Oracle) Follows established technical specifications to prepare models and drawings EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED: High School Diploma or GED required Four-year applicable degree OR Two-year applicable degree OR Mechanical Design Certificate OR Two years of drafting experience 3D CAD Preferred (for Mechanical Drafters) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Must be able to work independently and take direction Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted.
