Estimator - Project Manager

We strive for our team members to model behaviors that align with our Mission, Vision and Values GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Estimator/Project Manager will be responsible for estimating jobs/projects for our asphalt construction business.
This position will work closely with customers and internal departments for accurate cost estimating.

Provide and coordinate full estimating services on paving projects, including public and private jobs.
Responsible for gathering information related to asphalt, paving, and other materials needed to complete the project.
Review of specifications and plans Make site visits & coordinate internal communication Work with various internal team members for project setup and project completion Verify accuracy of quantity take-offs Bid and pre-construction scoping Solicit and coordinate subcontractor and supplier quotes Prepare preliminary pre-bid schedules Issue subcontractor award notices or letters of intent Coordinate successful bid hand-offs to project management and job supervisory team Coordinate project billing based on contract specs QUALIFICATIONS: College degree strongly preferred/ 5 years industry experience is also considered Strong organizational skills are required; the ability to track and meet all deadlines related to bids and project submittal requirements Knowledge of working with contracts/VDOT is a plus Must be able to maintain customer relationships in a positive manner Must have strong interpersonal skills Demonstrated analytical and systematic thinking Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record is required Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required BENEFITS: Health Dental Vision Company Paid STD LTD PTO Matching 401(k) This job specification should not be construed to imply that these requirements are the exclusive standards of the position.
