Position Summary
Branch Civil is searching for an experienced and safety-oriented Welder to join our well-established, growing company.
The position is responsible for welding metal components together to fabricate or repair products such as machine parts, equipment, motors, and generators, according to layouts, blueprints, or work orders, using brazing and variety of arc and gas welding equipment: welds metal parts together using both gas welding or brazing and any combination of arc welding processes.
Duties/Responsibilities
Performs related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding
Repairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes, and increases size of metal parts
Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal parts preparatory to welding
May perform other related duties

Qualifications
Knowledge of construction techniques
1 to 3 years of welding experience
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations
DOT experience preferred, but not required

This position will be primarily based out of our Roanoke location, however some overnight travel will be needed due to work demands.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position which will typically involve 40+ hours a week.
Due to the nature of the job, the employee must be available on-call early/late hours to deal with delays, bad weather and emergencies at the job site.
