With offices throughout the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic, our specialty is interior construction involving laboratory casework (furniture), exhaust hoods and equipment for clients in the Educational, Industrial, Research and Healthcare markets.
Nycom is looking for a PART-TIME installer with construction experience interested in joining our team.
Responsibilities:
Job Description/Duties:
Installation layout.
Unload and receive material onsite with assistance
Distribute material to final locations with assistance
Installation layout.
Perform onsite installation of laboratory casework, millwork and accessories
Installation of countertops and associated seaming by countertop type
Inspect casework installations for quality and completeness.
Coordination on site with project owners, general contractors, and other trades.
Represent Nycom to the owner, GC, Architect and client.
Coordinate with Project Management
Work through and correct quality items and punchlists.
Travel up to 80%
3 days per week – 24-30 total hours per week
The ideal candidate is very detail-oriented, organized and able to manage time and priorities to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Must be local to Roanoke, VA
Self-starter who can work without much supervision
Able to drive a 26ft box truck
Cabinet installation, warehousing, delivery driving experience preferred
Able to lift heavy objects periodically through out the day
Must have basic computer knowledge to fill out spreadsheets, write daily reports etc.
3 days per week – 24-30 total hours per week

Skills Required:
Physically able to work in the field, at construction sites on a daily basis.
Be self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Be able to read and interpret construction schedules and drawings.
Be able to pass Pre Employment Physical and Drug Testing
