Job Description:
Process Improvement engineering position focused on the application and fundamentals of atomic layer deposition (ALD) for electro-optical devices.
Position responsibilities include:
Enhancing the performance characteristics of the microchannel plates.
Optimizing manufacturing and testing processes as it pertains to ALD processing.
Initiate and perform experiments to optimize material characteristics.
Lead new equipment installations, implementation, and optimization to meet yield, throughput, and performance improvement goals.
Work to minimize or eliminate safety, quality, and productivity problems.
Work with R&D engineering to test, refine, and implement improvements around the ALD process.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
BS in Ceramic, Glass, Metallurgy, or Materials Engineering (or related engineering discipline)
5 years technical experience in deposition related processing.
Ability to obtain Security Clearance.
Proficiency in statistical analysis techniques.
Effective communication and documentation skills.
MS Office
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Experience with various forms of materials processing equipment and techniques (thermal processing, wet etching, ALD, PVD, etc.
)
Proficiency with designing structured experimentation.
Ability to handle multiple high priority projects.
Experience with electrical properties of materials, materials characterization, glass formulation, ceramic body development, thin film characterization.
Six Sigma certification.
Application of DMAIC and advanced statistical tools.
Experience writing complex MS Access queries.
Proficiency with statistical analysis software; Minitab, JMP, SAS.
Ability to collaborate with all facets of the Night Vision organization.
Comfortable with self-initiating business and professional improvements.
