We are seeking qualified candidates in the Roanoke, VA area who can reliably commute.
Position Overview
As a Production Technician at Pavement Stencil, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that stencils are produced accurately, maintained properly, and shipped to customers in a timely and efficient manner, contributing to the overall success of the production process.
You will be responsible for preparing stencil materials for the CNC machine operators, ensuring high-quality stencils, maintaining shop cleanliness and organization, monitoring inventory, and packaging orders to be delivered accurately and on time.
Your Key Responsibilities
Assist CNC Machine Operators
Assist the CNC operators by loading the CNC machines with material and proactively preparing the machines with the necessary material to get them ready for the next use.
Monitor the CNC machines to ensure they run smoothly and make adjustments as needed.
Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines by clearing the machine of stencils and vacuuming the machine between each use.
Order Packaging
Carefully organize and package stencils according to customer orders, ensuring they are protected during transit.
Assist the Shipping Manager with labeling boxes accurately with customer addresses and shipping information.
Quality Control
Inspect stencils for quality and accuracy by completing the quality control checklist to ensure they meet established standards.
Report any defects or issues to the appropriate personnel.
Safety & Compliance
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Actively maintain the cleanliness of the shop and keep all scrap material in the proper recycling storage areas, ensuring a hazard-free working environment.
Adhere to company policies and quality standards to ensure the safety of everyone on the team.
Inventory Management
Keep track of stock levels and shipping supplies such as boxes, packing materials, and labels to ensure the efficient packaging of orders.
To be successful in this position, you will need:
Physical stamina for lifting and moving heavy boxes and materials.
Attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.
Strong organizational skills to manage inventory and orders.
Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Qualifications & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience with CNC machine operation and working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes is preferred.
Hourly Wage
$17.
00 per hour starting wage.
