Position Summary
Hopkins | Lacy is searching for a diligent and highly-motivated Assistant Project Manager (APM) to join our well-established, growing company.
The APM assists in the direction of daily activities of all assigned project operations.
The APM is responsible for assisting with oversight of daily job progress, submittal development, scheduling of manpower and materials, equipment purchasing, quality assurance, cost control, and producing monthly project reports.
This position reports to the Sr.
Project Manager; the position working closely with, and supporting, all members of the project team to ensure success of the project.
Duties/Responsibilities
Assist and manage the activities of individual project field operations to result in planned and profitable growth.
Help the Project Manager and Program Manager to investigate market potential and opportunities with a view to implementing established services and recommending additional opportunities.
Evaluate and maintain employee technical competency of mechanical and plumbing superintendents, foreman and field technicians.
Work with superintendents on job performance reviews of field personnel, making them aware of performance successes or deficiencies and informing them of promotional opportunities
Provide assistance to other Divisions to maximize company opportunities.
Maintain excellent customer satisfaction levels at all times.

Qualifications
Minimum of a High School Diploma and two plus years of project experience with a MEP contractor.
Candidate should have a successful project completion history.
College degree and/or PMP-designation a plus.
Successfully manages projects and tasks of a scope, complexity and revenue budget appropriate to experience.
Applies buildings engineering and project management knowledge while leading multi-discipline resources to meet project requirements within established timeframes and budgets.
Shares knowledge with others by serving as a trainer, mentor and resource.
Holds project team members accountable for deliverables.
Meets technical, contractual, schedule, budgetary and client service objectives for each project.
May periodically act as QC reviewer on projects.
Computer literate with flexibility for continued computer education.
Good customer relations and sales skills.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position which will typically involve 40+ hours a week.
Due to the nature of the job, the employee must be available on-call early/late hours to deal with delays, bad weather and emergencies at the job site.
