Main Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned, per business needs)
Design and construct work-holding, test, or other fixtures needed for all Company production areas
Machine or otherwise construct engineering prototypes from drawings/blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions.
Machine or otherwise construct machine replacement parts for maintenance use.
Repair existing fixtures.
Keeps work area neat.
Follows company safety policies as well as general policies.
Education/Training
High school diploma or GED required
Qualifications/Experience
Demonstrated knowledge of reading/interpreting engineering drawings/blueprints.
Use and reading of precision measuring equipment, brazing, working knowledge of production machine operations, as well as safe machine operations.
Ability to design and make special tooling, knowledge of hydraulic and/or pneumatic circuits, ability to create a material list, as well as layout and design of the fixture.
Knowledge of Company quality policy, departmental procedures, and work instructions.
Must possess tools necessary to perform the job.
Must be able to work well in a team environment.
