Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

Position Summary: Operate manufacturing machinery to produce parts for our high security locks and keys.
Duties:
Operates multiple machines for parts and assemblies.
Inspect parts using blueprints and precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers to ensure usable parts.
Operate automated assembly equipment and secondary machining equipment as needed.
Work with the Team Lead and Area Manager to produce product based on the work order and production schedules.
Meet quality standards, on time delivery, and continually improve productivity to exceed customer expectations.
Participate in team meetings to improve team performance, solve problems, improve safety and 5S
Must be able to meet or exceed performance measures after training.
Perform any additional duties required to assure smooth operation of product centers and support areas.
Overtime will be required.
Perform responsibilities in accordance with all company standards, policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to physically operate a machine.
Ability to perform basic machine troubleshooting.
Basic math skills
Basic computer skills
Must be mobile and able to move from one work area to another and lift 40 pounds
Must be able to work in a team environment with good communication skills
Physical Requirements:
Normal, corrective vision range; ability to see color and to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, bend and reach.
Ability to reach with hands and arms.
Lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
