Job Summary A production assembler is responsible for assembling products and components in a manufacturing setting.
Their primary role is to follow specific instructions, blueprints, or diagrams to assemble parts and create finished products.
This position typically reports to the Office Manager.
This position does not have direct reports.
Key Job Responsibilities: · Follow assembly instructions, blueprints, or diagrams to put together various components and create finished products.
· Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
· Conduct tests on assembled products to check for functionality and identify any defects.
· Handle and move materials, components, and finished products within the production area.
· Occasionally operate company vehicle to pick up material or drop off product.
· Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery required for the assembly process.
· Record production and quality data, such as quantities produced, and any defects identified.
· Work closely with team members, including supervisors, engineers, and quality control personnel.
· Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
· Identify and resolve issues related to the assembly process or product quality.
· Strive to meet production targets while maintaining high-quality standards.
· Other duties as assigned.
Key Performance Measurements: · Units produced per shift.
· Defect rate or rework percentage.
· Meeting or exceeding safety standards.
· Other KPI’s as assigned.
Requirements: · High school diploma or equivalent.
· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
· Previous experience in assembly or a related field may be preferred.
· Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate assembly and quality control.
· Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components.
· Effective communication within the team and ability to follow instructions.
· Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
· Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
· Ability to identify and address issues in the assembly process.
· Willingness to collaborate with team members to achieve production goals.
